Course Outline: What You Will Learn
This three-part course will teach you the high-demand skills of emerging Social Leaders and help you stand out in a sea of leadership similarity. As you implement these essential skills in your leadership you will increase your effectiveness, authenticity, and social impact at work and in your community.
Module 1
Social Leaders are Social-Venturers
This first module will introduce you to social entrepreneurial leadership approaches, the Integrated Priorities Framework, and how to use the concept of Social Return on Investment (SROI) to measure your social impact.
Module 2
Social Leaders are Bias-Aware
This module introduces the truth that our thoughts determine our lives, how hidden biases reduce productivity and stifle employee engagement and satisfaction. You’ll learn to recognize implicit bias in yourself and how to root it out on your team.
Module 3
Social Leaders are Trauma-Informed
In this module, you’ll learn the importance of mental health awareness and embracing a trauma-informed leadership approach. You’ll learn the difference between mental stress and strain, the effects of toxic stress, and how this shows up in your workplace.
